Career
Marlons started competing in 2014 after trying to beat a coin spinning record with a 2-euro coin, which turned out to be slightly too large for record attempts. He joined league play with Coin Spinning Germany the same year, won his first national title in 2016 and took silver at the 2017 European Championships.
In 2019 he set his personal best of 21.40 seconds, the second-best competition time in history. He won the world title in Aarhus in 2021 and again in Bratislava in 2025, where he overtook Filip Drahošík with his final attempt.
