From the 2026 season, plate temperature will be measured and recorded before every round at all events sanctioned by Coin Spinning International and the Coin Spinning League Europe.
Plate temperature has a measurable effect on spin times. Recording it makes results across venues and seasons easier to compare. Electronic timing to hundredths of a second remains unchanged.
The updated rules apply to the 2026 World Championships in Vilnius.
